About Us

Earth Investigation Systems Limited (EISL) is a Civil and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy and Laboratory Testing Facility. Founded by Dr. Derek Gay in 1995, the organization began as Earth Systems Engineering Limited, operating primarily as a Geotechnical, Geophysics and Forensic Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy firm. In 2002, Earth Systems Engineering Limited spawned Earth Investigation Systems Limited, and expanded its services to include Site Investigation, Material Testing, Site Quality Control (QA/QC), Advanced Geotechnical Analysis and Design Services.

Today, EISL is headed by our principal civil/geotechnical engineer Dr. Derek Gay and is supported by a team of well-trained, highly skilled, qualified and experienced engineers. The firm has refined its image and has developed a well-known reputation for efficiency, accuracy, integrity and reliability – with the mantra of getting it right the first time. 

Earth Investigation Systems Limited aims to provide quality service in the areas of:

• Geotechnical and Forensic Engineering Consultancy

• Geotechnical Field/Site Investigation

• Laboratory/Field Testing of Soils and Natural Rocks

• Laboratory/Field Testing of Asphaltic Concrete, Pavement Aggregates, Portland Cement Concrete, Composite Materials (Cement/Lime Stabilized soils and aggregates).

Our testing services are carried out to the current ASTM (American Standards Testing Materials) standards, with the flexibility to adapt to the British, Euro or other standards, should the need arise. In the case of Asphaltic Concrete, we also offer Mix Design services as our engineers are certified technicians of the Asphalt Institute Asphalt Academy, Lexington, Kentucky, USA (2011).
